WITH DANTE YOU CAN EXPAND THE NUMBER OF YOUR X-RAY SPECTROSCOPY SETUP

Do you know that with DANTE you can expand the number of readout channels of your X-ray spectroscopy setup to 16CH, 24CH or 32CH?

The DANTE Digital Pulse Processor was designed to be a multi-channel solution from the start. Indeed, more DANTE boxes can be connected in a daisy-chain fashion by stacking different boxes through suitably designed top and bottom DSUB25 connectors. Only one box needs to be connected to the PC (either via USB or Ethernet connectors). That box will act as the master of the chain routing configuration commands to the other boxes and receiving the spectrum data from all the channels. All acquired signals are natively synchronized.

In case of high data throughput acquisitions (i. e. mapping or list mode), it can be useful to use separate USB 2.0 (or ethernet) connection for each box even if they are connected in daisy-chain. This allows higher communication bandwidth while maintaining the boxes synchronized, which can be extremely useful for time-stamping single events on different detectors.

The demand for high-rate detection systems is continuously growing in many applications like Synchrotrons, In-line Quality Control, etc. DANTE was made to easily address these applications by allowing fully synchronized multi-channel solution up to 32 channels.
