Ultra-fast SDD readout system.

ARES is a complete 8-channel readout system for radiation detectors, based on a low noise front-end and a digital MCA, designed for ultra-fast applications.

Main features:

  • Up to 8 channels modes.
  • Customizable FPGA-based Multi Channel Analyzer.
  • Control unit is available also in a compact box.

Technical specifications

  • 16 bit digital resolution.
  • MnKα FWHM: 131.7 eV @ 204Kcps input rate, 250 ns shaping time, output rate: 150 Kcps
    (1 channel, SDD equipped with CUBE).
  • USB 2.0 High speed connection to host PC.
  • Supported OSes: Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (x32 and x64).
  • Driver and DLL libraries for integration and control of the system.
